Poolside and Travelling to Washington DC

We packed everything and checked out this morning.  We were able to to check our luggage onto the plane from the resort front desk, which was very convenient, and then spent the next few hours lazing beside the pool.  It was really relaxing and fun too, because every now and then the staff would do something entertaining like having a "Name That Song" competition, which we almost won!

Then at 4 o'clock we took a taxi to Orlando airport and boarded our plane to Washington.  There was an incredible electrical storm which kept us on the ground for about half an hour, but then we were up and away.  "Bye, Disney World!"

After we arrived in DC, we checked into our hotel, the Harrington and had dinner in the restaurant, which had tables out on the footpath.  Then we went for a walk about four blocks down and dropped in on the neighbours - Michelle & Barack and the girls.

We were in bed by about 11 and off to sleep.
