Lizzy's Ls

Lizzy got her Learner's Permit today.  She is so excited to be actually driving!  After she passed her test, she had to have her photo taken for her permit card and then we bought some "L" plates.  I drove to a very quiet neighbourhood and then Lizzy got into the diver's seat.  I gave her a half-hour lesson on driving, parking and reversing and then when I felt confident that she knew enough, asked her to drive out onto Springvale Road and she drove us home.

So now I am back in the passenger seat again for 120 hours of nail biting - for the third time!  I did this with both Torie and Richie!

Lizzy's Year 10 Social

Lizzy had her Year 10 Social this evening and I could not believe how beautiful and grown-up she looked with her hair up and her special evening dress!  You may recall the day we went shopping for the dress (click on those coloured words and you will go to that post).  Well, now you can see which dress she finally chose ...

Here she is with her very handsome and absolutely gorgeous boyfriend, Adam ...

She went to the dance with two of her best friends, Bree and Amy who went with their boyfriends, Simon and Brad.

They all looked so lovely, all of the parents couldn't stop taking photos of them!  Lizzy had bought her shoes in Boston, while we were in the US back in September and they made her so tall that she even towered over Wayne!  She had been to the hairdressers during the afternoon to have her hair put up and at the Social she won a prize for Best Hair!

It was a very exciting time for Lizzy, as it was her very first formal occasion.  They all had a wonderful time and came home exhausted, but with big smiles on their faces!

Halloween

Lizzy's best friend Milly had a 17th Birthday/Halloween party tonight and Lizzy went as Alice in Wonderland.  This is her with her new boyfriend Adam ....

Shopping with Lizzy

Lizzy & I went shopping at Chadstone today for her dress for the Year 10 Social.  What a mammoth effort this was!

When we finally thought we had chosen a really nice one, she checked the Facebook wall which all the Year 10 girls have posted their dresses on and found that one of her close friends had bought the same one!  So it was back to the shops again to keep looking.

We found a couple more which she thought she really liked, but wasn't sure.  So, we kept looking ...

At last we found a lovely dress that no one else had posted on the Facebook wall!  Lizzy loved it and she looked fantastic in it!  So we bought it.

Which one did we get?  Well, you'll have to wait until Thursday of next week to see the pictures of the Year 10 Social!

Pocahontas

Lizzy went to a birthday party last night where they had to dress up as one of the Disney Princesses. She went as Pocahontas. I wonder what the boys wore?
